Amy Franzer joined LCDS in 2015. She is originally from the Pittsburgh, PA area, and graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from The Pennsylvania State University. Amy was inspired to teach since she was in first grade, and has been fortunate to have incredible mentors along the way. She strives to instill a love for learning in young students, and to encourage them to love coming to school each day. Amy moved to the D.C. area after graduating college, and has been teaching elementary level grades since.  When she first came to LCDS, she worked with prekindergarteners,  substituted and assisted with administrative needs. She is now excited to be the Lower School Enrichment Teacher. Amy enjoys traveling, watching her daughter Ava’s crew events and attending Steelers, Penn State and Villanova games with her family. Amy has served on the Board of Directors for LAWS and The Child Advocacy Center of Loudoun County, and has been a volunteer for eight years.
