Erin Zalzuney joined the LCDS faculty in 2017, after moving to Loudoun County from Fredericksburg, Virginia. For 17 years, she worked as a Teachers Assistant at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church Preschool, working (and playing!) with four-year-olds for all of those years. She earned an Associates Degree from Germanna Community College in 2015. Each day, Erin’s students are greeted with her warmth and loving, mama-bear spirit. She is supremely passionate about her own three children: Lucas (28), Nicholas (24) and Emily (23). A huge Crimson Tide fan, she became hooked on the football team while Lucas attended the University of Alabama. Most recently, she became a mom to her new fur baby, a 2 ½-year-old female boxer named Avery whom she adopted through Blue Ridge Boxer Rescue. In her free time, Erin loves spoiling her new pup, continuing to baby her children, cooking, visiting local wineries, exploring antique stores and hiking.
