Heather started teaching at LCDS in 2003. She graduated from Georgia Tech in 2000 with a degree in Industrial Engineering. She was a four-year softball letter winner at Tech. She returned home to Texas to teach and coach at Splendora Middle School, before returning to Atlanta in 2002 to teach math and coach softball at Mount Paran Christian School. In 2003, she moved to NOVA with her husband, Dan, to teach Math and coach at LCDS. She took a break from teaching in 2007 when she gave birth to twins, Carter and Abby. She lived in Germany from 2010-2012 and returned to LCDS in 2012. She left LCDS in 2015 to care for her younger children, Ayla Joy and Janie. Heather and her family moved to Southlake, TX in 2016 where Heather was the varsity high school softball coach at Grapevine Faith Christian School. Heather and her family returned to Leesburg and LCDS in 2020. Heather is passionate about making Math fun and challenging students to see Math as a key to unlocking life’s mysteries.
