Coach Robinson joined LCDS in the fall of 2018. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science from Eastern Illinois University, which he attended on a full track scholarship. He helped EIU win three Ohio Valley Conference Championships, and earned seven individual titles as a sprinter. Prior to EIU, he attended Christian Brothers College High School in St. Louis, where he was a state champion in track. It was there that he was inspired to work with children. For three years, he volunteered at TASK camp, which works with special needs children. He currently teaches prekindergarten and kindergarten PE and coaches middle school soccer, basketball, track and lacrosse. Jamal has a background in coaching multiple sports and was a lead camp counselor at Prince George’s Sports and Learning Complex, where he coached track and other sports. Jamal is an alumni of the independent school system, having completed middle school at The College School in Webster Groves, Missouri. In his free time, he loves to travel, run and watch basketball.
