Lauren joined LCDS in 2019 following two years of working at the school as a substitute teacher.  She attended James Madison University where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art.  After graduating from JMU, Lauren taught Art, Music, and PE at the Wakefield School in The Plains, Virginia, where she also developed their Girls Lacrosse program and coached several other sports.  She has a passion for early childhood education and always encourages her students to be curious learners and to have the courage to try new things. Lauren and her husband Mike live in Ashburn with their two daughters, Elizabeth (‘ 26) and Annabelle (’28).  During her free time, you will find Lauren hanging out with her family, crafting all of the crafts, and convincing her husband to join her in yet another DIY project around the house.
