Renee’ Edmonston joined LCDS in 2008. She wears many hats, from visual arts teacher to business system analyst to graphic designer. Renee’ earned a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Visual Communications and an Associates in Business. Renee’s approach in the art room is primarily choice based. She regards each of her students as skillful artists and as such, puts their own ideas and interests at the forefront of their creativity. Her favorite artist is Picasso simply because his form of expression was like no other. In 2013, Renee’s hand-painted cookies won First Place in the Great American Cake Show. For her winning submission, she recreated Vince Lombardi’s office for the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame. Renee’s technology background stems from her early careers as a Director of the Group Insurance Benefits Division for Meltzer Group, and an HR Business System Analyst for Universal Studios. In her free time, Renee’ enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, working on her miniatures, baking, golfing and quiet time at the beach.
