Vicki Knickerbocker joined LCDS in 2004. She currently teaches Middle School STEM and serves as the Director of Instructional Technology. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Radio/Television/Film from the University of Maryland and holds a graduate certificate in Technology Management from the UVA/VaTech Graduate Center. Prior to joining LCDS, Vicki worked in the video industry around the D.C. metro area and as Communications Director for a local public school system. Vicki’s passion for teaching technology-related skills grew out of the video production classes and camps she taught while working in the video and communications industry. Her goal is to help guide students to not only be responsible users of technology but the next generation of innovators and life-long learners. When Vicki is not teaching, she is exploring new STEM curriculum resources, creating websites, gaming, volunteering with the Feline Foundation of Greater Washington and spending time with her family.
