For current applicants, first consideration for enrollment is given upon completion of the admissions process, including the student’s assessment visit and receipt of all required documentation, no later than Friday, February 26.
In accordance with the guidelines of the Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington (AISGW), families will be notified of admissions decisions on Friday, March 5.

After a visit to an apiary, fourth graders created multimedia presentations on the plight of the honeybee. Here, learning is hands-on and cross-curricular. The results are buzzworthy!

Art appreciation begins at LCDS. Don’t be surprised when your preschooler comes home and presents you with a creative rendition of one of van Gogh’s masterpieces.
Seventh graders hydroponically raised vegetables in science class, then planted them at a retreat for combat veterans. It’s just one example of LCDS’s organically-integrated service learning.
