Loudoun Country Day School

Hands-on, experiential learning is a key feature at our school. Our students experiment and cultivate in our Garden Lab, explore the world outside of school through field trips and excursions, compete in sports, perform for audiences, express themselves through writing and art, and serve their community.

    Both of my children had another incredible year at LCDS! The well-rounded, nurturing environment is unparalleled. My children always look forward to school and show a tremendous affection for their teachers, which is clearly a result of feeling safe, loved, and valued. Our family has been extremely happy with the program and we are so excited that our children love learning and continually feel inspired. I also appreciate the quality of the teaching staff and was happy to see that both of our children’s teachers utilized the professional development opportunities.     LCDS has been my home for the last 13 years. Not just because I work here and my kids go here, but because my friends are here. It’s not often that we, as adults, can say I love my work, but I do. I often voluntarily come in throughout the summer just because I miss being at school. I have taught at other schools, including public and charter schools, but nowhere else have I felt so supported that I could truly be me, as a teacher, and feel so connected to the children, their families, and the staff. I can’t imagine being anywhere else.
