Fifth-Grade Students Bring the Second Industrial Revolution to Life with Creative Presentations and Innovation!

On January 30, our fifth-graders hosted the Second Industrial Revolution Inventors Convention, where they showcased the technological advancements of the 18th and 19th centuries. Students portrayed famous inventors like Thomas Edison, Alexander Graham Bell, and lesser-known figures such as Margaret Knight and Madame C.J. Walker, sharing their innovations through interactive displays and presentations.
The event also featured contributions from inventors like Elijah McCoy, Garrett A. Morgan, and the Wright brothers, allowing students to connect history with the future of innovation. This immersive experience reinforced LCDS’s core values of creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong learning.
