Kindergarten Teacher and Second Grade Teacher
We plan to operate two sections in each of those grades and are looking to fill the second, classroom teacher position. We are developing plans for in-person, five days per week classes with a maximum of 12 students in each classroom, and 24 students in each grade. We also staff the Kindergarten and 2nd-grade classrooms with a full-time teaching assistant. Applicants must have at least a B.A., preferably in elementary education, and extensive experience working with elementary-age children, preferably teaching experience.
1st and 2nd Grade Assistants
We staff each Prekindergarten through 2nd-grade homeroom with a full-time teaching assistant. We operate two sections in each of those grades and are looking to fill two out of the eight assistant positions. Assistants are expected to deliver lessons from time to time and work with small groups of students. A B.A. is preferred, and applicants must have extensive experience working with elementary-age children.
Middle School Science and Math Teacher
With our low pupil: teacher ratios and positive and affirming work environment, LCDS is a wonderful place for those who love being with children to serve as substitute teachers. Candidates must have experience working in a school setting.
Director of Technology/MS STEM Teacher
Loudoun Country Day School seeks a dynamic and forward-thinking candidate for the position of Middle School STEM Teacher and Director of Technology. First and foremost, the Director is an educator and leader in the implementation of tools that support teaching, learning, the student experience, and administrative operations. The Director will provide deep technical expertise, as well as strategic leadership, planning, and management of technology at LCDS. The Director will be responsible for modeling and promoting a school culture of enthusiastic and responsible use of technology in both instructional and administrative efforts. To that end, the Director will work collaboratively with the school’s Educational Leadership team to develop effective strategies for integrating technology into the curriculum and work closely with the administrative team to manage school information systems and the school’s technology infrastructure.
